Getting a work phone and porting numbers with Virgin balancr

What I have:
Phone number 1: 50$ 6gb with 1100$ balance
PN2: 25$ 5gb no balance

I will get a phone from work that I can't port my number to.

So my plan is to port PN1 to Fongo or whatever and port my PN2 to the phone currently with PN1.

How would you go about it? Is it possible? I don't want to pay a 1100$ penalty.

Not possible...once you port PN1 to fongo, it cancels the plan/account and you have to pay the penalty.

You can port in PN2 onto PN1 so you keep the plan/account...but you lose PN1.

Phone# and plan/account go hand-in-hand. Can't have one without the other.

And can't swap either....

Even if I ask nicely?

So how would you go about it? Suck the 25$/month loss?
I don't really care about my phone number but it's all the **** MFA's I have.

Get work to pay/subsidise your current phone, otherwise you are on hook for the $1100

The backend on providers is made to not allow this, as people used it to lower/skip cancellation fee's

lol - you can ask as nicely as you want to - still ain't gonna happen as systems prevent this from happening + policies don't allow it.

There is no free lunch in this world (and no free phone either).....

like theguyz said - try and get work to pay\subsidize your current phone - that would be my first choice

Otherwise, try and sell your $25/5Gb plan for $100+ to offset the PN1 contract\device balance.

Or sell the device that has the $1100 device balance to offset the penalty....
