Samsung S95B 65" OLED - "Bad Box" - $1,698

Deal Link:
Price:
$1,698
Retailer:
Gibby's Electronic Supermarket
Gibby's Electronic Supermarket has listed a number of "bad box" items with significant discounts for purchase. This includes the 65" version of their OLED TV (QN65S95BAFXZC). There are a wide arrange of TVs with many having discounts vs MSRP approaching 50%.

The S95B unit is currently on sale for Black Friday for $2,500 new and $2,125 for open box at Best Buy.

Bad Box TVs

The note on the bad box says - "Flawed Box- New product. Full Manufacturers Warranty. Minor cosmetic defects to packaging, Price is reduced to reflect this. First come First serve. ETA 2 Weeks"

Gibby's charges for shipping on these units but you can do pick-up for free (located in St. Catherines).

I called Gibby's this afternoon prior to placing my order for a 65" S95B and they confirmed the stock is real. I'm not sure how frequently stock is being updated on the website though so don't know about ability to fulfill a significant number of orders.

Great find! Note that shipping is $150...and you may have to pay for return shipping if you need to send it back (which is also $150 according to their website).

ordered an s95b.. they have an extended warranty program for 499.. which covers 4 extra years and you get 100% back in store credit if unused by the end of term..

i decided to drive from from toronto to pick this up when they come in.. cost me about $25 in gas (hybrid suv).. and about 2.5 hours of time since i live in the west end...

reviews for this tv are fantastic!

came in $2431 tax and extended warranty in!

they are actually a huge store.. official dealer for samsung.. its not a little corner store..

Already own this set and so tempted to grab another....$1936 all in in Alberta with the $10 off email sign-up. If the TV comes damaged you should get free return shipping, no?

The site says it's "NEW" but box is damaged. 2 weeks ETA apparently. Shipping is about $150. Comes to just over $2K after tax (Ontario).
So tempted, but where the hell to put it in my house? I mean, I have a 77 inch OLED GX in the living room, so that's out.
Guess the master bedroom will do. I sit about 10 feet away from my existing 55 inch. :)

edit: They even have the 55 inch for $1348 "flawed box"

This is one of those deals that just smells too good to be true... if it's true that this is simply cosmetic box damage then the discount they are giving just doesn't make sense.
