Glenforest IB Program Bus Service

My child is enrolled in the IB program at Glenforest school starting next Fall. Is there a school bus service from Mississauga? We were told that it is a parent arranged service. I don't know what it means.

It is a private school bus service that is run by a small group of parents whose kids are also enrolled in IB(T) program. I was paying ~$2600/year for my two youngest boys about 10-11 years ago. The school bus does not pick up your son/daughter at their home but they need to be at one of the pre-arranged pick-up/drop-off locations at least 10 minutes before. For us, it was a 10 min walk to the closest location. Some locations may have only one child for a pick-up/drop-off and some may have 3 or even 5. These buses are only for kids enrolled in IB(T) program. Both programs at Glenforest and Gordon Graydon are excellent.

Dear Eldiablo, Apologies for the delayed response. Thanks so much for the help. The information is for Allan Martin Public School. I believe there must be a similar website for Glenforest school as well. Let me try to look it up.

No apologies required. From my experience, most of these programs use the exact same bussing model. I was extremely surprised by the jump in pricing for the service. Another option is to consolidate your school transportation with two or three other parents who also have their kids at the same school. Provide the pick-up and drop-off on alternate days. Not sure of the legality of this option but something you may look into.

Here is another link which you might use as a possible resource>>>https://www.switzer-carty.com/private-s ... portation/

I went to Glenforest IB in highschool. At the time, there may or may not have been these services. Realistically, I just took the missisasuga transit like many many other kids. Plus it is WAY more flexible for afterschool programs. I did have some years where we paid another parent but they stopped offering after a while too.
