[Go Daddy.com] 3 months of WordPress + Hosting for C$1.49 (C$39.99/mo afterwards)

Deal Link:

More offers from Go Daddy.com
3 months for C$1.49 (Offer limited to 1 per customer, one time purchase). Then, after 3-month offer period, the plan renews at C$39.99/mo (C$39.99 for every 3 months).

Correct me if I'm wrong, first 3 month is only $1.49, but if you cancel the plan before then you wont charged after.
Pretty good deal IMO.

$39.99/mo ≠ $39.99 for every 3 months

Wanna clarify why you mean in that part OP?

I really wouldn't trust GoDaddy to broker a web hosting deal. There are plenty of excellent web hosts for under $10 USD/year.

Holy shit the OP Should be banned for scamming.... Crappy WP hosting prob does not even give you proper backend access at $40 a Month???

Let's not start posting crappy webhosting offers here none of them are ever hot.

Actually their wording makes it sound like it renews at $40 a Month and another 40 every 3 months... I'm guessing suppose to be $40 every 3 months only, but still cold.

Hope a mod can check if a referral link was attempted.

Wordpress sucks. Pony up and pay for Shopify. The constant updates means unless you are checking your page daily the add on functionality could be dead without you even knowing.

what? shopify and wordpress aren't in the same category

you can setup wordpress to act as a e-commerence system

you can't setup shopify to act as a blogging system

The constant updates is what drives WP forward. If your site breaks bc of a WP update, your site was not built properly. Both are great if you know how to leverage them based on your business needs.

Shopify is for regular users, Wordpress is for developer's. You just can’t compare them. WordPress is far more versatile.

Holy, That is robbery! I bought 3 years of hosting through siteground for about $250 all in a couple of years ago. Will be $13-$14 month after that. They're hosting has been great and trouble free for the 2.5 years I've been with them. Shop around.

Tfong010, if your site breaks because of an update, your site wasn't built well. If you don't mind paying more for limited functionality, shopify is for you.

Thats horrible. I pay about 20 bucks a year for hosting with GoDaddy. Since my site is only really an info site I just buy a new hosting subscription every year using the coupon codes and migrate my site.

Or you could just disable auto-updates until you're ready to do it manually and address any potential related issues.
