What even is a "GO Transit"?
GO Transit is a regional public transit system serving the Greater Golden Horseshoe region of Ontario, Canada. With its hub at Union Station in Toronto, GO Transit's green-and-white trains and buses serve a population of more than seven million across an area over 11,000 square kilometres (4,200 sq mi) stretching from London in the west to Peterborough in the east, and from Barrie in the north to Niagara Falls in the south.

Best deal (from almost 20 years ago): 2 boxes (20 reams of 500) of HP 92 white papers from staples for $7.00
Back when staples price match and takes off 50% of the price difference. (2004)

Lobby your local politicians to improve transit where you'd like to see changes?

thanks, looks like it's no longer just Sunday for $10. It's a great deal, compared to driving to then paying parking at niagara falls.

The website is confusing - is this truly unlimited travel across the GO network? Or is it just between 2 points - why do I have to enter a start and end station?

It's truly unlimited. Start /end points are irrelevant since it's unlimited.just put in anything. It doesn't matter.

For people thinking about Niagara Falls.

We took 6 adults there this past Saturday by car. One , me , stayed sober to be designated driver.

Gas cost us $60 (2021 Dodge Durango Citadel). Parking for us was $10 but I saw as high as $25 in some lots.

Train would've been nice for me to relax on way back and enjoy boozy drinks while at falls .

Casino bus to Niagara Falls is free too but those aren't running yet and they're limited to adults age 19 and over. You're also expected to spend some time/money at casino. They restart Feb 5

In case some of you havent been back to NF since covid started, everything is opened, except for the two government hotels and casinos on each side of the falls, and skylon, and the game arcade place and the attraction near wendys lower on the hill same side.

It's was very crowded this weekend, just like pre-pandemic

While we're at it, we should also ensure posts include 'Ontario Only' in an LBCO thread or 'Quebec Only' in an SAQ thread.

nice improvement to the just Sunday $10 test they have been doing. still online only and won't just work on a presto card really shows how crap the presto backend is. daily caps for all operators needs to be implemented

This is confusing. It seems like you answered your question or something that you would have loved to do short of checking a few minutes to see if it was possible.
Outlaw ellipses and apostrophes.

Now, you've got ven more options whn paying for transit with PRESTO contactless payment on UP Express.

If I use Presto card on weekends, will I be automatically charged $10/$15 for unlimited trips? Or I should not use Presto card for the weekends?

Nope. Not integrated with Presto yet

The passes are available online only – not at stations or by using PRESTO. Once purchased online, they will be emailed to customers using your smartphone.

Passes are considered unlimited between two points for the time period they are valid for. You are risking getting a ticket for $100 (per person) from a compliance officer by doing this.

Yeah, That’s Metrolinx policy to screw you over.

Definitely prefer megabus as this is a longer trip and less comfortable (seats hurt my back) but for 10 bucks it's pretty good

That's incorrect. Nobody is gonna get a ticket if they have a valid pass for the day.

"All the passes provide unlimited travel across the GO system – whether on bus or train – for a flat fare. For example: with a pass purchased between Oshawa and Burlington, a rider can board a train at Oshawa, get off at Rouge Hill, board again at Rouge Hill, get off at Burlington, then travel back to Oshawa. The options are endless."

Great deal - I may grab one in a couple of weeks and do a staycation weekend in the city.

I hope some more things open up in a few weeks!
