Good Indian Restaurant in Markham?

I am meeting my friend for lunch this weekend and she wants to try Chauhans. I read reviews that its below subpar. Has anyone been here and are they open for lunch?

Are there any better Indian Restaurants for lunch with a nice atmosphere in Markham?

Try India's Taste just east of Chauhan's on Denison... good food and selection however it is a buffet and gets very busy at peak times - so atmosphere may not be the best if you are looking for a quieter environment.

Does Indias Taste have a time limit? We usually like to take our time and dawdle. We don't want to get kicked out after 1.5 hours...

Nope. It's busier on weekend evenings. Also, all Indian restaurants may be busier than usual this weekend because of Diwali.

Good food without the kitsch, and it's not in an industrial strip plaza.

We are skipping Indian food this weekend because of Diwali, will save it for next visit. BTW, I see on their website there is an Indias Taste location in Brampton. I will need to pay it a visit one day.

I work pretty close to India's Taste. What is the price for weekday lunch?
We're all bozos on the bus until we find a way to express ourselves...

Been there, loved it even more than the Markham location.
