wow i might do alignment after reading this! i don't think i've ever had my car done yet lol...2012 civic, had it for 3 years now

How often should a wheel alignment be performed?
Every 16,000 km or once per year under normal Canadian driving conditions.
After installation of new tires.
After a change in steering and or suspension components.
After the first 3,000 km of purchasing a new vehicle.

That's overkill.. If your tires are wearing evenly and your car goes straight when you let go of the wheel you're fine.

I got an alignment done when i hit a bunch of potholes (big enough to bend a few wheels) and even then my car was just barely out of spec. It's not overly expensive.
