Google 4K (Nexus or Pixel?) Player

Google is developing a 4K set-top box, according to FCC filings
Expectations:
  • (No?) Ethernet
  • 4x4 5GHz 802.11ac
  • Bluetooth 4.1
  • HDR10
  • VP9 p2
  • Dolby Vision

I agree with you. That was the reason I didn't try to get the Mi Box.

4K over AC wireless works surprisingly well. I have a 3x3 capable router even at its worst tested 1x1 capability its consistently faster than Fast Ethernet (100Mbps).
You rarely get uncompressed 4K anywhere, if you find it then the network is only part of the question, the set top won't have the processing power. Most 4K streams are H.265 encoded
