Note that 3a/3a XL do not include free photo and video storage in original quality. Quite a cheap move by Google. They also quietly phased out unlimited lifetime storage for Pixel 1.
Our Pixel 3 has horrendous audio quality issues during voice calls.

I have the Google Gcam port out app and all the live wallpapers from all the Pixels on my S8+, why do I need a pixel?

Because gcam port is not even close to quality to a pixel camera

Speaking from experience with my s7 edge and s8+...this excludes (perhaps) the pixel 3 specifically.

speaking from stats in that the gcam port is just one aspect of why pixel is the best camera, porting it over won't result in a camera equivalent to a pixel

It's not any good hardware (otherwise Samsung and LG ports would have good quality comparable to the pixel with the port especially with the "superior hardware")

You can go read up on what a gcam port actually is first, it's a hack job to port over incompatible software to a totally different device . Depending on how poor/good the original camera software is, the difference quality could be minimal to drastic

Eh? Pixel 1 still has unlimited storage. I remember they posted that it didn’t sometime back but they had posted a correction that it was a mistake.

I've tried many tweaks and tinkers and I find the quality to be worse than my original camera. Not to mention the "bugginess" of most of the mods.


I always end up deleting it afterwards.

1-I'm assuming you have a Pixel or you don't have hardware good enough for the port out?

2-Most cellphone cameras are made by Sony, so where exactly lies the difference?

Edit: the sensor at least, most are by Sony. The optics are something else. But with something so small, how roomy can innovation and technology be?
