Google home mini is on sale for 38.99 at local Costco. The bigger Google home assistant is also on sale for 97.99

Price is like that in the East too. Probably a discouted offered by Google to Costco, Best Buy, Staples and other retailers as they all have the same price..

you don't have a phone (that also has cameras and mics) in your pocket that you carry with you 24/7? what's the difference? if they want to spy on you they can already do that.

FYI: You can just buy this online since it's free ship and it's not a member specific item (don't need a card).

I bought it from Costco on Thursday and received it the next day, surprisingly (BC). I'm really impressed with the speaker and overall clarity.
