I think this one deserves it's own thread because it's probably the best option out there at this price (that doesn't require a trade in).

Previous low was $399.99

6.1" FHD+ OLED
8GB RAM
128GB Storage
TENSOR 2 (790k AnTuTu)
Excellent connectivity
Decent camera setup
Android OS updates until at least May 2026 and security updates until at least May 2028.

My partner has the 7 and I have a 6 that I got for free-ish from Koodo during a boxing day promo. This is a warm price for the 7a in my opinion if you can't or don't want to wait for boxing day. The pixels aren't on the same level as Samsung or iPhone but the price difference makes it worth it for me.

Have one for 3 months now.
Battery isn't good, and compatible issue with most of NON-faster chargers.

Great phone for $350 if you don't game. Obviously lots of custom ROM support as well since it's a Pixel. Reception is good but not great. Battery life is great too. If you need a phone right now and don't want to deal with trade ins, probably can't find a better phone at this price.

Make sure you keep it in a case. I don't like to use phone cases at home and I cracked the back glass when it fell on the floor from roughly 5' 5" high.

I wonder how is this as a travel phone, in particular for photo/video? Reviews seem to suggest the quality is decent, OIS should help, plus the eSIM support is great for traveling...

photo quality is #1 or #2, better than even the samsung flagships S24. Not for every test, but for most. The 7a wont have a 3x zoom lens, but otherwise everything is better for photos compared to S24.

For this price, it means if it gets stolen during a vacation more bearable than losing your S23 or S24 or iphone.

Google pixel has known issue with the screen - breaks easily (compared to other phones).

This says the back is plastic.

In my opinion for about $100 more this kills the Moto G Stylus from Costco. Worth it.

Make sure you install graphene so you can live an ad free YouTube experience and enjoy music while the screen is off same thing with your browser BTW. The quality of life is insane and you'll never want to go back to stock os.

Oh and also, you will not get milked of your battery and privacy.

Pixels and Google services do not work at all in China if that was one of your destinations

Thanks. I need it for Europe, and it looks it will work fine there.

I just bought it, we'll see...

What about a ~$190 difference? If you buy Instacart gift cards from Costco and stack with $25 off promo you can get the Moto delivered for $192+ tax and tip

Where did you read that?

I keep mine in a thin rubber case and drop it all the time without problems. I also have a screen protector but for $10 a pack it's a no brainer these days.
The back casing is plastic with a sheet of glass on top.
