Can't android do most of this already? Save your downloaded apps, contacts, google drive etc? Still upvoted but curious.

Yeah, I purchased Titanium Backup back in the days, but haven't touched it in years.

Seems like that Titanium has been abandoned too.

Yah, I don't understand the up votes for something google does already, I'm not saying downvote, definitely nothing hot about this when free apps have been doing the same thing for years and not data collecting either.................................

I think it is still the most well known and popular app for android backup.

Regarding this app, I dont know. I kind of feel like it is a data mining software.
Just a hunch.

Yeah for the most part Google backup (or the LG/Samsung programmes) seem to a pretty good job backing up most things when I need to transfer phones.

As an aside, does anyone know of a good free photo backup app? I used to use this app called 'Sweet Home' which would back-up my selected photo folders as soon as I got home on my home wifi network and put them into designated folders on my NAS. It was wonderful and, for the most part, seamless. I never had to worry about losing photos. Unfortunately, I don't think it's been updated for years and has become a lot glitchier with newer versions of Android, to the point now I periodically just copy photos over when my phone's directly plugged-in.

TIA

Keep in mind that no 3rd party app can back up the actual user data without Root (which is almost impossible now a days).

Without Root, only the Android OS's back up function be back up App Data to Google's own servers.

This means you have no privacy having all your info on Google's servers, say you want to be a part of a minority political movement or be a whistle blower, any politician can just get your data from Google to ruin your image and blackmail your movement. (happens all the time)

Most ppl are redundant parasites on society that make no important contributions or changes to make (me included) so have no worry about this happening to them, but others beware.

Can't I backup using a USB cable? I know samsung devices used to have Kies/Smartswitch which I think did a complete backup of everything to your desktop, including user data. Not sure if there's something like that for other brands

On newer android versions you can't back up app data unless the app is specifically coded for it.
