This is the new 4k edition that was released December? Wanted to buy the disc versions but it's selling for $115 and I don't even have a 4k blu-ray player so may buy this actually.

Nice deal. Too bad Warner movies no longer port to MA.

So, probably really stupid question here, but can you port these over to Plex? That's where my personal library is, and this is legit one of the first I've ever considered actually buying lol.

Itunes is better, both LOTR and the hobbit extended dolby vision and atmos for $70. It's the regular price since it was release on 4K. I am tempted but I want disc

Let us ot expect this to copare to physical bluray though, bitrate is profoundly lower. I grabbed extended bluray 1080 which has 444393 extra content discs for $30 a year or so ago, probably looks better unless paused during low action still camera moment.

I don't think Google will let you download these. They will just be there under your Google account to stream online whenever you want. But unfortunately, no legit way to import this to plex.

I've seen references that the 4K Disc version we have here comes with Digital Codes that can't be redeemed in Canada. Not sure how true this is?

I have the HD versions of this on Google Play, I hope they get upgraded to 4k, not even an option to migrate from HD to 4k.

LOTR extended editions bundle is $40 on iTunes.

Also, Google Play supports more devices for playback compared to iTunes.

It's sad that 1080p BluRay still looks better than streamed 4k video because of the utterly garbage compression.
