Tasker 1.19$

Deal Link:
Price:
1.19
Savings:

Retailer:
Google Play
Tasker at 70% off. Enough said.

Ok, for the n00bs out there: https://www.androidcentral.com/tasker

Basically it allows you to make your smartphone smarter. ;)

A few examples of how I use it:
  • At home and plugged in? Backup new photos to NAS.
  • Connected to car stereo? Launch TuneIn, launch Google Maps, display Overlays with a few widgets.
  • Alarm dismissed in the morning? Run automation Good Morning on SmartThings.
  • Smartwatch not connected in the morning? Display a notification to remind me to wear it + power it on.
  • Good Night routine: Run Good Night on SmartThings, Do Not Disturb, Airplane Mode, set CF.lumen to Red, Launch Sleep as Android

Enjoy!

Waited a year and a half for this, gave up six days ago and paid full price. It's only a couple bucks, but... ****.

I think that happens to about 95% of people who buy this app. It sounds awesome, until you go to use it and realize the learning curve. I think i've owned it for like 4/5 years and every time i see it pop up online, i think i should go figure it out and never do it.

I got it last year on sale, then refunded within 2 hours because of learning curve. lol

(I got it because I use a OnePlus 3 and they got rid of DND mode thanks to the alert slider switch.... was trying to figure out DND with Tasker...)

I'm gonna buy it again now with the sale and figure out how to use it... /says it to myself to justify purchase XD

Been meaning to get Tasker, so thanks OP!

It does seem a bit complex to use, but there have been several times I've thought of using it. For example my Ring doorbell can only record video to Ring's subscription cloud service, but Tasker has the ability to respond to notifications, launch an app function, and record screen video. I wonder if I could set it up on my always-on tablet to respond to the Ring doorbell, record the live video, and upload it to my own cloud service.

that'd be a nice way to utilize it and upload to gDrive or any cloud service.
