Great experience today with Samsung chat (requested unlock code)

Got given a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. Network locked to Freedom. Decided to try the Samsung Live Chat feature on their website.

Everything went so smoothly. Here is chat transcript

Mickey: Hi, thank you for contacting Samsung Canada support. How may I assist you today?
sprung: hi there, I need unlock please for an old Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus
Mickey: Let me help you in this regards.
Mickey: Could you help me with the IMEI number of the phone?
Mickey: You can find it at settings>>about phone>>IMEI number.
sprung: sure. XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Mickey: Thank you.
sprung: you're welcome
Mickey: Could you help me with the purchase store name where you've purchased this watch?
sprung: oh it is a phone, not a watch. Freedom Mobile. Used to be called Wind Mobile
Mickey: Sorry for the typo.

sprung: no worries
Mickey: Is the phone still in contract with the previous carrier?
sprung: nope. contract ended about 1.5 years ago.
Mickey: Okay.
Mickey: Are you trying to insert new SIM in the phone?
sprung: yup. it is prompting for SIM network unlock PIN
Mickey: Thank you for the information.
Mickey: Let me check the unlock code for you.
sprung: excellent, thanks
Mickey: I'm sorry for the delay. I'll be right with you.
sprung: ok
Mickey: Please follow the steps below:

1. Disable the wifi of the device first.

2.Turn OFF the phone.

3. Insert the new sim in it.

4. Turn ON the phone.

5. Enter the code if it prompts.

Here is the code: 37151462.
Mickey: Let me know once you are done.
sprung: ok trying it now. hold on please
Mickey: Please go ahead.
Mickey: I will be hear with you.
sprung: that worked great. thanks
Mickey: Perfect!!
Mickey: Do you have anymore queries that I can assist you with?
sprung: have a wonderful day. appreciate all the assistance. that's it for now.

Rogers told me some bullshit about how they couldn't unlock phones for non-customers. Samsung provided me an unlock code for a Galaxy S8 within minutes. They didn't even ask me what carrier the phone was with.
Current device: Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
Rogers $55 100GB CAN/US
