Green glue & whisper clips

When I look at the whisper clip it doesn't appear to me to me that it is going to be effective in isolation as the foam pad is sooooo soft and thin that when one screws the clip to an existing framing member it's going to compress the foam so easily that the whisper clip is going to be make solid contact with the structure. There are numerous suppliers for hat channel - look for steel stud and drywall suppliers.
