It was $509 last month and I almost pulled the trigger.

That’s the first thing I thought of “Dang- I should have bought the Costco Snow Blower deal”

Instead, I decided to stay in my Dewalt system or look at the Toro system.

Perfect, as I bought the snow blower from Costco.

To those who are looking to order. I was able to PM the self-propelled combo at Lowe's for another 10% off.

Yes. One 2Ah battery might not get you through the whole driveway but two should do it unless it's really hard packed snow.

Does the self propelled work well with slopes? My yard has a decent hill on one side.

I bought it last month when it was $500ish although I won't be able to use it for a while.

I wouldn't put much stock in the one star review on their site - it has good reviews everywhere else. Probably a disgruntled customer who had shipping issues.

Generally, a rear wheel drive works better on slopes and steeper hills. A front wheel drive has the advantage of being able to tip the front up to change direction without having to disengage the drive.

Not my first mower but have also been shopping for a cordless to replace my trusty 16 year old Lawnboy.
I'm always drawn to the Ego brand as they seem to be the better mower but at a premium price. My wallet directs me to the Ryobi but the reviews are mixed. I think if you cut weekly the Ryobi would be fine but in some reviews, I've seen the Ryobi overheat and shut down.

Here is a pretty good review of the Ryobi vs Ego vs Greenworks. The Greenworks is a 60 volt model

3 model review...

How's the build quality and reliability of this brand?

Haven't researched battery powered mowers before, but I'm very much into the 'buy it for life concept and don't want to spend money on things designed to be "disposal" and replaced every few years.

Would go with a used metal-deck Honda powered gas mower otherwise if it weren't for the emissions.

So glad I jumped on that deal last month. Same thing in the second link was $509, plus there was a shop pay code which brought it down to $433.50 before tax.
