Grinder arbor adapter size looks wrong

Hi fellow grinders.

I have an old Mastercraft 4inch grinder 4 amps. When I put 4 1/2 cut off wheel with a 7/8 hole, I see a 2 mm gap between the disk and arbor nut / shim, in yellow

Something tells me using the cutoff wheel like this in not safe, is there an adapter I can get ?

You'll be fine....don't worry about it. Just center it up and tighten.

This is 'what not to do'! Completely foolish and VERY dangerous. Please find the proper nut with a flange that will center the disc .. and keep it centered.

You're missing the spacer, there should be one and it's probably lost.
