Grinder arbor adapter size looks wrong

Grinder arbor adapter size looks wrong

Hi fellow grinders.

I have an old Mastercraft 4inch grinder 4 amps. When I put 4 1/2 cut off wheel with a 7/8 hole, I see a 2 mm gap between the disk and arbor nut / shim, in yellow

Something tells me using the cutoff wheel like this in not safe, is there an adapter I can get ?

You'll be fine....don't worry about it. Just center it up and tighten.

This is 'what not to do'! Completely foolish and VERY dangerous. Please find the proper nut with a flange that will center the disc .. and keep it centered.

You're missing the spacer, there should be one and it's probably lost.

DO NOT FOLLOW THE ABOVE PERSON'S ADVICE.
We're all bozos on the bus until we find a way to express ourselves...

Failure is always an option...just not the preferred one!
