Here's what I did:
1) click on link......signed in, got invite only
2) change the URL from https://www.groupon.com/deals/starbucks ... d=63714971 to https://www.groupon.com/deals/starbucks-ca-17q3-d (i.e. remove the ?checkoutError=invite_only&optionId=63714971 parameters)
3) successful checkout

good luck

edit: Disable ublock or Ghostery or whatever and use incognito mode. Worked twice for me.

Thanks OP - best way to make this work is using INCOGNITO mode in Chrome - after you see the red box for invite only - log out and log in again and the copy paste this link (delete the space before the word starbucks in the hyperlink below)

Try clicking on the link again - I got that the first time. I clicked on the FB link a second time and it worked.

this deal has been on there about a month. Its by invitation only. You will need to receive an email invitation before going in to buy.

Using this FB invite link does not qualified when I login to my account. Therefore, it is not an invite.

Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.

OP is right. Paste in the above link (delete the extra space) and try to buy. It will deny. Then paste again and try to buy and it works.

Anyone able to get this on another account with a different name but same billing address? I get a page telling me that there was a payment issue, but I don't see any pre-auth on my cards.

The error message indicates your payment card rejected your payment.
Is your payment card has the same name of your second account?
