Seems like a good deal to me. Anyone know the condition of the refurb? Will they ship Canada wide?

No word on frequency bands. I'm guessing it's the Verizon model.

Version has different bands then anyone else, so this phone is not GSM. It will only work with them.

Looks like it works in here in Canada also. (except Wind) if these specs are correct. Even LTE band 4 is covered, as is 3G 850/1900 mhz

Cellular connectivity LTE: Bands 4/13; -- CDMA 1x/EVDO Rev.A: 800/1900MHz; -- HSPA+/UMTS: 850/900/1900/2100MHz; -- GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-S5 ... B00IZ1XVAC

Looks to be a really good phone if you travel in the US and Canada regularly, and want one phone and excellent coverage in both countries.

Plenty of us have US addresses (private, not a Postal Office PO box).

Point Roberts is a 30 mins drive from most of Vancouver.

Tempting, not too sure about the refurb. Tons of sites with groupon rebates too (GCR/Alaska/AA etc)

No, it shouldn't be because more than 70% of Canadian population lives near the border.

0 tolerance for BS.
If I downvote, chances are it's less about the deal, and more about OP's inability to take criticism and constantly favoring their deal due to their ego.

and 99.99% of those people are not gonna drive passed the boarder to pickup something they ordered online.

This is a Canadian site, US only deals should be in another section, as the deals are not applicable to majority of users.

And where are getting your statistics form. Coz everyone I know personally has gone to US for shopping and stuff in the past. And you don't make the rules. This does apply to majority of Canadian. If they think that it's not worth the hassle to a save hundred or two dollars for a half an hour to an hour drive to States, that's their choice. That doesn't changes the fact that they'll still be saving the money compared to buying it from here. So if this deal helps even a single person, it deserves to be here.

It is funny that people don't shop around locally. 3 month ago I bought a brand new unlock S5 for $360 in Calgary via a Kijiji post. Shop wisely, guys!

True but going on Kijiji has risks involved particularly related to blacklisted phones. You got lucky!
