I know someone who purchased the Bristol model in Phase 2 from Andrin Homes. They would like to know if anyone out there might be interested in taking an assignment of the agreement of purchase and sale. To satisfy your curiosity, their situation has changed. Please in box me if you know someone or if you yourself are interested. Serious inquiries only please.

Hello all, I purchased a Bristol in Phase I and our original closing was Sept 2018. We now have a firm closing of April 2019. I have read many of the comments throughout many of the threads and finally decided to reply.

I have seen many negative comments and I can honestly say that my experience from purchase to where we currently with Andrin has been nothing but spectacular. The Andrin sales people and customer service specialists have gone above and beyond and have been very helpful.

We did our frame walk through a few weeks back and our house is currently bricked, dry walled, has outdoor and indoor railings installed and tiles should be installed this week.

Prices for structural improvements as well as upgrades was quite reasonable compared to other builders. For example we paid less than $10K to have hardwood on the entire main floor as well as having the stairs stained to match and upstairs done except for the bedrooms and laundry. While some upgrades where a bit expensive they were in line with industry standards. Just a matter of determining what was important and where you wanted to spend money.

Lots of their standard features would have been upgrades with other builders like baseboards, etc.

We did upgrade some tiles throughout.

House is progressing nicely and can’t wait to move in.

Hi thedukewhitby, I couldn’t agree more with you. Their customer service has been fantastic and their upgrades were very reasonable for high end finishes. I just wish we hadn’t been delayed so many times is my only negative as we have been trying to line up on selling our current home with all these delays. Good luck with the move in April and hope I see you as a neighbour when we hopefully close in May!

Hi thedukewhitby,

We also purchased the Bristol. I'm excited that you are so close to the end of the tunnel, and will be closing soon. I can't speak for anyone else, but at nearly three years, I am getting anxious to close...I'm glad your experience has been so positive. Please let us know how your PDI goes as well as your views on the quality of the house once you've closed. Thanks.

We now get confirmation that the townhouse in New Seaton will be delayed beyond firm closing date, and we are entitled to compensation.

One of the options is we can cancel the agreement and get our deposit plus compensation. I wonder what is the value on this?

How much is the townhouse selling in that area? Any comment?

Depends which phase you bought, but average they are going for 600s to mid 600s.

Thanks. We are Ph 2.

When I was there, I saw quite a few townhomes for sale, but none of them show up in Realtor.ca. Any ideas where I can locate the listings?
