This guy is running a kijiji store

https://www.kijiji.ca/o-profile/6203904/listings/1

This guy is running own kijiji store with over 2,000 individual items in one category and one region. It's difficult, or almost impossible at some point to see other peoples' listings. How could this is allowed?

Could be a liquidator buying up skids of returned merchandise and reselling.

If that seller really had 20,000 listings when the OP posted, he's cut it back now by nearly 90%. "2143 listings" as of right now. Check out some of his more hilarious listings:
$65 for a quartz wall clock: https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.ht ... =300182622
$95 for a Burrito Bros CD: https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.ht ... 1487660765
$135 for a touch-tone phone: https://help.kijiji.ca/helpdesk/basics/posting-policies

How does he maintain it? I thought after certain times, those ads will be expired? So he uploaded 20,000 ads again once for awhile? Bot?

No need to create a new ad. You can repost an ad after it expires and it will keep the current ad with a new posting date. OP must have added and extra 0, this guy has over 2,000 items not 20,000. I think the guy added an extra 0 as well it's all way over priced. $35 Bobby Orr DVD should be more like $3.50.

+1

Probably retired person or lost his job.

3 feedbacks with over 2100 listing and joined 13yrs ago.

Doesn't seems like the business is too busy. Not surprise with the price he is selling his stuff.

$18 for a DVD, who buy DVD these days unless it is a rare collectible. Even a BluRay is not worth that much.

This guy probably has a flee market selling overpriced crap that is dated and thinks it's 15 years ago.

Most people just stack similar items, take a few pics, and call it a day. This person has enough time to take a pic of each individual item then go for it.

I don't know how much cd's, dvd's and brays cost nowadays but you must undercut everyone else, including online retailers to get rid of your stock. Plus, they live in London... No one in the GTHA are driving there for these kinds of items.

This. I helped sell off a lot of my grandfather's possessions after he passed. In the beginning I put everything up on both marketplace and kijiji. Half way through I completely gave up on kijiji as I was getting 4 to 1 response on market place vs kijiji it wasn't worth the time.

People post tons of items all the time... even take the time to take them down and repost every day sometimes...

I guess if you can afford that kind of time to posting, you deserve selling some stuff. Just looking through a handful of items, I'd never buy a DVD in 2021 but maybe someone else will. Maybe he/she has something that's out of print and that's the only copy they can find.

If you are willing to pay a small fee, you can put your listing above everyone's.

You mean after ad expired, you still can see it in your account and just repost it?

Yes, there's a tab for active and inactive ads. You just have to click the repost button.

Hey, he just switched to streaming and downloading. He's selling off his collection of hard media. This is how you find out what things are really worth, by failing to sell them on Kijiji.

And here in Vancouver craigslist is still king. Facebook Marketplace and Kijiji never caught on. You Ontario folks are a fickle bunch.
As for DVDs, I work for the public library and we are tossing them by the truckload. People don't even want to borrow them for free anymore. And our Blu-Ray collection gets even less love. This guy's offerings look a lot like what we send for recycling.
