Have Pillsbury Pizza Minis been discontinued? (yes)

I recently started to buy Pizza Minis again to eat when I'm short on energy to make "real" food, but I've noticed that they don't seem to be available very widely, and when I do find them somewhere, they're deeply discounted. Additionally, they don't show up on the General Mills website at http://www.lifemadedelicious.ca/. I noticed that Pizza Pops are still there though, and in store they seem to have slightly different packaging (new font on the logo). Has anyone heard anything about Pizza Minis being discontinued?

Edit: just called General Mills Canada and was told that they're being discontinued due to low demand. Welp.
Nobody cares which exploitative corporations you give your money to every month. Capitalism is a plague on this planet. Get that crap out of your signature.

A friend of mine working at a local food bank tells me that 100 boxes were dumped there. No reason given. (who asks questions when there's a generous donation, right? lol)
I like them too, but the demand must have been crazy low...

That's too bad - I haven't had them in a while, but I liked them.

Apparently those are just being put under a new name (and a higher price, of course)

McCains and Dr. Oetker have merged operations and they are trying to sort out what to do with their brands.

What do you mean by merged? They sold the their pizza divison to Dr. Oekter, but kept the Pizza Pockets.

Well I mean something like that lol. The point is now that the number of players in the frozen pizza market is -1.

I didn't know that McCain did the pockets still though. They also have Wong Wing.

well they got discontinued and a new product replaced it, the one i saw in store is more of a bistro now if you ever had those, larger and in boxes of 2
and they have these smaller ones in packs of 8

Somehow I still think they got sneaky and found a new creative excuse to raise the price.

Curious to see the price to weight ratio to see how different the old vs new are.
Obviously weight/content will be different if they indeed have more 'guts', but if you're getting half the weight for the same price, it's pretty obvious that's it's primarily a price increase.

you'd have to buy it and weight it out in that case, of course more bread/dough will weight more with is the cheap stuff, and then you'd have to account that it's a different product. ie. a burger vs a taco

compared to bistro's it's cheaper for the same product.

The deal back in 2014 suggested otherwise:
"McCain, meanwhile, keeps its Pizza Pocket business in Canada — and its remaining frozen pizza businesses outside North America. Financial terms of the deal will not be released, a McCain spokesperson said."

FWIW, the Pillsbury Pizza Minis are still being advertised out west (IGA and Save On Foods have them in their upcoming flyers).

Good point that maybe they're only being offered out west now. (?)
That, or grocery stores there are putting them on sale, in their flyer to flush out their current inventory...

Guiseppe pizza minis and Pillsbury pizza minis seem to be the 2 available now. I still see them at our local store anyway.

Guiseppe ones are pretty good. 4 for $2 this week at FreshCo.

Yup. Pizza pocket stays with McCain, but only Pizza pocket, not pizza mini...that seems to be all the info I could find. (dated back to 2014 when the sale took place)

Unfortunately Pillsbury closed the Canadian plant in Midland Ontario earlier this year and this is where the mini pizzas were produced. PLease write them and tell them you miss the 5" Mini pizzas. I'm not sure of their plans other than we lost a few hundred jobs in the process. they may consider doing them in Winnipeg where the pops are produced.
