Heads up - Kodak Gold 200 @ Walmart
So as someone who's going through a separation/divorce, my old go-to's for film photography were basically anything I landed in my hands, and processing was an afterthought (I'd estimate I was spending about $60-100 per month on my hobby). I have a couple rolls left of the "good" stuff, but I've picked up a triple pack of 24 exposure Kodak Gold 200 at Walmart for $12.98 + HST. It sort of surprised me, because I saw it sell out pretty quick, then to my amazement, they replenished the rack. I scan my own negatives now, so basic processing is about $7 per roll at Aden (with tax). I also found the 24 frame count less likely to sit in my body half-exposed, IE just the right amount of frames for me, not waiting on another day for the other dozen frames left as it would be the case with a 36 exposure roll. I may get into self-developing later on, but it's pretty cheap at that price.
With a couple economic changes like that, I can keep enjoying my hobby, because separation/divorce is hard on the wallet.
PS / Off-topic:
Child support for two kids from two different women is almost $1400 a month (on a net monthly salary of about $4k). Wrap it up and be really, really sure she's going to stick around if you are going to have a child with your wife/girlfriend. My ex-wife and I are quite amicable and we intend to keep it that way, she hasn't asked for anything from my pensions, only child support, so this is by no means a slog at her. She came into the picture around the time myself and my older child's mother were going through lawyers (and racking up a crazy statement) - so we agreed, a bare minimum of lawyers, it only ends up taking from the kids.
