Heat and electronics don't mix

Not up to date on automotive technology (nothing newer than an '06) and this new, potential problem surprised me.

High costs are not only occurring with new high fangled thermo control valves.

On the ToyotoNations forum I follow, a recent post was about failing thermostats in cars that are only a 3 years old and the thermostat costing over $ 120 + dealership charge :

quote : "sticker shock on the install. $630.....Flushed Face.....(it's a 4.5 hour job on the 3.5 ltr.)"

And we are gonna see a lot of half dead tail/head lights too. Bulb is $1, LED module is $500+.
