Somewhere between Mi…
You didn't say if that pic is you, so guessing a bit here. If it was me I would look for a monitor stand with a (much) longer reach but still articulating and mount it somewhere that would allow you to get out of bed without moving it. Like on the wall, on the headboard or on the nightstand. Your picture of the desk doesn't look like a desk. A desk had room underneath the top to put your legs when you sit down. The pic looks more like a stereo equipment stand. If you want a desk instead, you could try Kijiji. You can find decent used desks from hotel used furniture warehouses, who sell used stuff from the Fairmont, etc. I got a nice one for about $50. Real wood, not particle board.

The photo isn't me. It's from the company that sells the desk. That specific desk is out of my budget because with shipping from the usa + duties it's going to be over $300+.

A wall mount monitor would be good but I'm renting. Can't drill any holes in the wall.

I'm fighting some health problems and still trying to work (from bed), I also don't have a car so ordering online is my only option.

I'll look into stereo stands. Maybe there is something solid available in the $100-$200 price range.

How about using an patio umbrella stand base...mount a pole and then the monitor arm.
We're all bozos on the bus until we find a way to express ourselves...

Failure is always an option...just not the preferred one!
