Help setting up personal domain email with an Email Client

I am very dumb so please be kind. I bought a domain from Namecheap. Now I want to use my email client software Outlook 2016 to send/receive/store emails. What is the cheapest and safest way to set this up permanently?

I want to create multiple email variations, so like:

[email protected]
[email protected]

So you have a domain and an email client program, but you seem to be missing something in the middle. Where is your email or web hosting service? Did you buy email hosting from Namecheap in addition to a domain name?

You need to know what are the incoming mail (IMAP or POP) server settings along with the outgoing mail (SMTP) server settings.

Once you confirm this with your host we will help you how to setup your Outlook.

Did you just buy the domain name from Namecheap? Or did you buy a package that includes hosting? For example on the Namecheap site, I see a deal for something called Ultimate Email for $34/88 a year. Is this what you got? Or did you just buy the domain name alone from them for $6.98 a year?

you should have to buy a host storage somewhere in order to use this domain :) Confirm this with Namecheap. Maybe you have a host storage once you bought it.

You need to subscribe to email hosting from somewhere. It doesn't have too be from Namecheap, nor does it need to be packaged with web hosting. Indeed, you'll get much better results if you subscribe to a dedicated email host instead of using email accounts provided by a web hosting outfit.

Zoho is the cheapest high-quality email host at $1.25/month per mailbox. Other options include Microsoft 365 and mailboxes.org, depending on your requirements. Avoid Google.

Just use Zoho. They have a free plan for up to 5 emails with your domain.

Setup is easy, their setup steps are pretty clear even for someone new.

Unfortunately Zoho's free plan is webmail only, POP/IMAP access (for Outlook) not included. They do have a proper email hosting service for C$15/yr - you probably won't find much cheaper.

There is a limited free web hosting package for RFD members offered here: free-canadian-web-hosting-free-web-host ... e-1177226/
It's limited to 1 email address and 200 MBytes, but you'll be downloding the email to Outlook anyway.

There's also their budget service buywebhosting.ca which you can try.

Ionos has a cheap hosting for $1/month. You can setup a SMTP server on it. I think Ionos also give a 2GB fully setup mailbox as part of this bundle. so you can directly use it. And then utilize the hosting for other things like hosting webpages, your own VPN server etc etc.
