help, what's the dealership is really wanting and doing now (Done)

It hasn't any updates from dealership for almost two weeks after a small deposit for a new RAV4 in montreal, supposed the sales should be looking for one to fulfill the agreement, I don't understand why they need so long for this easy thing, and just wondering what's the dealership is really wanting and actually doing now, if anyone here got such kind of experience, and how long you could get the new car after agreement and small deposit? My last lease just spend 4 days.

If they could get extra profit by postponing the delivery?

If I could get the deposit back if I go to another dealership due to delay delivery while no deadline listed in agreement cause I too trust them?

---------updates--------
Just called sales man, should be done in next week.

However, I'm just curious what happening in dealership, cause so many tricks in this business, hoping Uber, Tesla, Google, Amazon or even Walmart to change all of the game rules in this business

---------updates---------
Got it in this week, no thing wrong but still no any clue about what happened.

Hmmm, have you called them and asked them what the delay is?
Did you demand some sort of special colour or accessory?
Did you tell them when you wanted delivery?
You need to follow up too, not just wait.

I believe all the RAVs heading to Quebec were blindsided and heading to Richmond Hill and Markham. You will need to go there to pickup or risk losing deal.
