on a side note, having tested the chairs, i think one could easily get away with a used Aeron as it doesnt have any fabric (for those who are picky).

Also, those with a lower budget, check out the Sayl chair, it was surprisingly comfortable when compared to the Aeron/ Embody.

I've had a Sayl chair at home for 4 years. It's not a 8-hour a day chair but it's very comfortable (despite not looking comfortable at all) and is wearing pretty well. I'm not a huge fan of the Aeron, but it might be a body-type thing or that I sit on one all day at work.

My Embody chair is probably one of the best purchases I've ever made. It was a tough decision for me to spend over 1000$ on a computer chair, but I work from home, I'm in this chair more hours than I'm on any other piece of furniture including my bed. It still looks and feels exactly like it did years ago when I got it. I've saved money by getting this chair, as I used to go through 200-300$ computer chairs every year or two. Plus, no back or neck pain anymore. At my old workplace we had the Steelcase Leap chairs, and I liked those fine too, but overall I prefer the Embody.

I was debating Sayl for a while but you're right, once i went and tested them all out, Aeron/ Embody are clear stand out winners.
I would say, looks wise, Embody > Aeron, comfort, i couldn't tell as both felt equally comfortable.

Are there any comparable chairs with black Friday deals that aren't as expensive. Looking to spend 300-600$.

I don't think you'll find anything comparable to a 1000$+ chair in a 300-600$ budget unless you buy used (my husband bought a used Steelcase Leap chair for about 300$ several years ago, the chairs are built tough). The Ikea Markus chair has consistently good reviews at a lower price point, that might be a good bet. The DXRacer gaming chairs are in that price range too, they seem like they could be decent.

The Sayl from HM will be around that range <$800.
You can’t compare to Embody or Arron, but it will be better than the Staples or IKEA ones.

I purchased a Herman Miller a few years back through Workplace Resource and got a much better deal. It may be worth it to contact them.
FYI I reached out to WR and they commented that they don't sell individual chairs. They sent me to another retailer that sold at regular price.
