Hidden Cameras and Rentals

So I just watched the movie The Rental. not going to spoil the movie in case someone wants to see it but it talks about a couple of people who rent this beach house and it has hidden cameras and the guy who rented the house sees them.

Now ..

What makes us think that this doesnt happen in reality with AirBnB. Do you ever think that if you rent an AirBnB that you are watched or maybe watched. Legal stuff put on the side, but after watching the movie, I wouldn't rent a house or condo AirBnB. Some of you might say well hotels are no different but I highly doubt a brand name hotel would do such thing because of the consequences of this drama that will unfold once it is known.

What are your inputs?

Do you not have anything else to do rather than argue with strangers on the internet
Nope. That's why I'm on the internet arguing with strangers. If I had anything better to do I'd probably be doing it.

You should enjoy your newfound pornhub fame. Airbnb owners have to find whatever ways they can to make extra money.

Have you seen the Netflix documentary movie "The Voyeur"?

https://www.vulture.com/2017/12/the-str ... oyeur.html

No electronics there - just old-fashioned, hard-work, peeping-tomism through phony ventilation ducts. It seems that voyeurism is part of the human condition, one of our innumerable fetishes, and complemented by exhibitionism.

The most pathetic are the upskirt guys who they catch with cameras on their shoes or canes, etc. That seems to be a big fetish in Britain, based on all the jokes they make about it.

Good movie btw.

That's the main reason my wife avoids anything less than 'brand name' hotels. Sure, it could happen there too, but the probability is less and they would be easier to hold liable/secure payment assuming all things being equal they be found at fault.

There are tricks to find hidden devices but they are not foolproof and one has to be a little bit IT savvy.
Hard work, inheritance, interest on interest accumulating, and stock and real estate speculation. It's all good.

Just wear eye masks while you are in the room. That way no one will recognize you when your video ends up on Pornhub.

And yet people put up cameras around their own homes and have no clue where that data is being sent.
