It's not just me, my family and friends are noticing this too.

Following the limit or worse driving below regardless which lane they're on.

I’ve definitely noticed this. I frequently travel up and down Highway 427. And it’s fine. Drive slower if you feel like it, but you sure as hell better stay in the right lane.

No they are accelerating slower and just cruise.

Not on the 404. North of Major Mac vehicles start going 130+ same when going south bound.

I've completely changed my driving style now that gas is higher, avoiding the left lanes, accelerating slower and coasting to a stop

50 kmh is like fourth gear on my previous Civic. I would to drive 60-70 to be on 5th gear.

But with CVTs, probably doesn't matter anymore lol.

Are we talking about totally free flowing traffic ?

On a weekdays heading southbound on dvp, people are driving at 130+ easily at around 5am. Grinning Face With Smiling Eyes

A lot of senior and boomer drivers on the road that need to stop driving period.

Left lane for passing. Drive at least the limit and don't keep tapping the brake.

Also if fuel costs are screwing you over, you couldn't afford the car and maintenance anyway.

I have a fairly heavy foot and I always giggle when an ICE tries to race me off the line.
Even if I'm not in the racing mood, I can hear their engine just sucking gas.
Do you not have anything else to do rather than argue with strangers on the internet
Nope. That's why I'm on the internet arguing with strangers. If I had anything better to do I'd probably be doing it.

Still lots of lead feet on the hwy's even early on a Saturday morning before 6am. I've changed my speed completely and stay on the right lane. I honestly don't care of they go 150km/h. Unfortunately, I still see speeders in every lane weaving in and out. Perfect example is on hwy 7 between bayview and center (weekday mornings). There should be more radar in that area.

I hope they jack the gas prices up to $10+ a litre. The higher the price of crude the better. The faster they drive, the more they consume. I will reap the oil stock rewards some more. It has helped my TFSA in the past 1.5 months so far. :)

Havent noticed as much difference on the weekends. Still the same old left lane hogs that drive 110 with bunch of space and sometimes its nice and free flowing.

I dont think gas prices gonna change self awareness of drivers. Alot of people in their own world.

Haven't noticed a change. I'm still driving a buck-ten on the 403 through Mississauga and people are passing me.

I utilize the smart cruise function a lot more, which drives at the exact speed limit. (HDA)

Sticking to right lane, unless left lane is also going slow with heavy traffic and/or the fork is on that side.

Also trying to engage the EV mode with my hybrid in cities whenever the traffic flow is slow.

Yep. You won't believe how many douche-nozzles I've given the finger to in the past few weeks. Pretty much everytime I go anywhere there are one or more of these jackasses doing whatever horseshit they feel like...in whatever lane they please.

You wanna do that shit I don't care. Just do it in the right lane, not the leftmost when there's three lanes.
