Pretty good deal if you are short on points!
For example, regular 20000 pts will cost 200USD

This promotion:
Purchase Information
Number of Points: 20,000 Points
Bonus Points: 16,000 Bonus Points
Total Points: 36,000 Points
Cost of Points:$200.00 USD
Total Charge:$200.00 USD

So in this case, paying $200 will get you an additional 16000 pts.

Is the true value for 20000 points $200? My experience has shown these points get highly inflated, and in the end they are equivalent to about $100-$150.

that's never the case in any points system (well maybe MR pts, but you can't purchase those anyway)

No? My TD infinite points claimed to be worth $350 got me a room worth about $200 if paid without points using itravel or something equal.

kind of comparing apples and oranges like my last post related to MR points....they are cash type points which you can't purchase. So that point is moot.
Also, correct me if i am wrong...but hotels website usually displays rack rates vs. travels sites buys blocks and resale (usually a discounted price)....when using td infinite points you use expedia....it's like you are trying to compare infinite with aeroplan

I just purchased 80,000 points for about $400 less than booking a night at the Hilton Whistler would cost me. Good deal.

It depends on the location but it can be 30k-70k per night.
