[HIRING] Photographic Equipment Specialist (Euphemism for “Gear-Head”)

Are you a camera geek? Do you enjoy inspecting pixels at 100%? Are you obsessed with aberrations (or the lack thereof), sharpness and bokeh? Do you want to help professional photographers and cinematographers by making sure their gear is ready to roll and smooth as butter to operate? This is the job for you!
Duties:
* inspection, testing, set-up and maintenance of interchangeable-lens cameras, camcorders and lenses
* answering customers' emails and inquiries
* technical support on camera and lens usage
* data entry into an equipment tracking database
* maintaining and managing a schedule for rental equipment
* managing lens service orders
* opening and packing mail packages
* basic web site management
Requirements:
* Flexible, open-minded with a great sense of responsibility.
* Quick learner and be able to take on a diverse range of responsibilities.
* Be able to read and follow procedural instructions in English. (Verbal skills are less important.)
* Ability to meticulously check work yourself for any mistakes.
* Basic computer skills for entering data into our database.
* You are authorized to work in Canada and have a valid SIN card.
* Advanced knowledge of digital camera and camcorder operation and maintenance.
* Familiarity with features and functions of the various digital camera models of Blackmagic, Canon, Olympus, Panasonic and Sony.
