Operations Manager DealoftheDay.RedFlagDeals.com - Downtown Toronto

The Operations Manager for Group Buying (Deal of the Day and Promo du jour) will drive operational excellence within the Group Buying websites, ensuring the timely publishing of the highest quality content. Greatly increase the number of registrants to the sites email program through innovative acquisition campaigns as well as manage and improve the platform as it expands to support additional features.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all Group Buy websites display the appropriate content at the appropriate time
  • Provide guidance and assistance in ensuring marketing best practices utilized
  • Oversee the creation process for all the content (including images, copy and publishing)
  • Own the content management processes, including periodic reviews and propose changes when appropriate
  • Manage the processes to deliver appropriate reports on website activity to external (merchants) and internal (finance, corporate, etc.) clients
  • Ensure that deal profiles are complete and clear (edit when necessary)
  • Create/distribute statistical reports (eg. Google analytics) for various departments in order to provide the basis for sales and marketing decisions.
  • Work with cross functional teams to optimize campaign elements such as ad copy and landing pages. Work with team members to create offers/deals (Sales Support, editor, etc.)
  • Manage platform, link tracking, widget and affiliate programs - developing improvements and resolving issues
  • Test and document enhancements and defects
  • Drive product development process with key stakeholders, leveraging strategic insights from core and potential customer groups
  • Monitor success of online sales progress by analyzing sales statistics, conducting online traffic studies, and analyzing click-thru data.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in business management, marketing or equivalent
  • Knowledgeable in web analytics, marketing and technology
  • 3+ years online marketing experience (website content management is an asset)
  • Motivated, autonomous, self-teaching with strong company spirit
  • Demonstrated experience as a problem solver
  • Ability to multi-task, be flexible and adapt to change
  • Ability to work under tight daily deadlines, self-motivated, entrepreneurial team player
  • Analytical; makes decisions using data and business knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal (French is an asset)
