I have the 70" R6209 version, and the picture is actually GREAT for the price. I bought a 2nd one just because the PQ impressed me so much. I also have a 75" Vizio P75-F1 (a very well rated TV) to compare against.

Caveat, it's only 4.5% (which is still good) if you spend less than $3,000 annually. It's structured as 4% bonus on top of the normal 0.5% / 1% based on less than / more than $3k annual spend.

IMO, Hisense reminds me of the Hyundai Pony.
Some might have great experiences w/ the brand but I can't in good conscious buy one irrelevant of the price.

Not a useful comment but honest one.

Bought this TV a few weeks ago, I'm just a regular user who likes watching movies etc. TV quality is great to my untrained eye, and friends and family have all loved it. I know it doesn't have alot of features other TV's have but at $900 there isn't anything this size and the 2 year Costco warranty gave me peace of mind to pull the trigger. Bought the $60 extended Costco warranty to bring the total warranty to 5 years.

Bought another one today and got a price adjustment on the one I bought a few weeks ago, thanks OP.

Pretty sure it should be fine... They're just watching regular cable or internet TV so no need to spend lots of $$$. Only thing they want is size and new.

+1. Hope they drop the price so I can get an adjustment.

It did, $1100-ish, you missed it, as I'm sure you heard. It was tragic, I was in the same boat.

75" is becoming the new 55". Too bad there aren't any deals on an 85". That's what i've got my sights set on. Just waiting for BF/BD

How does the additional warranty work in this case? Does it fall under TV's between $500-$1000 for $59.99? It's recommending me the plan for TV's $1000+ which is the non discounted price

Not quite.

75" => New 65"
65" => New 55"
55" => PC Monitor / Gaming Panel

Hope that helps.

Just called and rep said you need to buy the one for the regular price therefore $99.99, however he had no idea off the bat and I was on hold a few minutes while he verified.

Can anyone confirm?

I bought the warranty priced at 60$ since the TV costs less than 1000$ with the rebate. On the receipt, the TV shows on top at 1100$ and the discount is at the bottom though, but it would not make any sense to pay the warranty based on the original price!
