[Home Depot] Bosch 10" glide mitre saw $450

Have been looking for a decent mitre saw deal and ended going with this bosch glide 10", price matched Lowes ($499, https://www.lowes.ca/product/mitre-saws ... saw-537944) at home depot to end with $450.

With the glide system this works better for my work bench against a wall then a slide would.

Edit* price match using the chat function and ships to home.

How do you price match HD online with 10% off as this item is online-only?

Got the 12 inch for $450 a couple months back, but imo 10inch is much better for precise work! Regardless, the best saw you can get

Price matched over chat, took five minutes and ships to home for me. Should have explained better and may be the reason for the down votes.

At this price, definitely THE best saw you can get. Heck, even at sub $700, it's still damn good, maybe on bested by the 12" model. The design on this thing is the best I've seen on any mitre saw. Very compact, and smooth operation. The only drawback is the weight, but there are no light mitre saw with the capabilities and quality of this one. $400 is an absolute steal for this. I wish makita would buy rights to the patent and do a cordless 6.5" or 7.25" model, I would buy in a heartbeat.

10 inch is a great home owner/hobbyist size due to its precision, portability and replacement blade costs.
Unless of course you do a lot of large projects than 12" is your friend.

KMS Tools had this and the t4b gravity stand for $600... I was really hoping HD would get the t4b in stock but no luck.

I had no use for the stand but if anyone did that'd be a solid deal. Could have still sold the stand likely for $200 on marketplace but seemed like more a pain than its worth.

For those interested the 12" is now on sale for $730 with the free stand. https://m.kmstools.com/bosch-12-dual-be ... -saw-10657

Looks like not the cheapest it's been. ($421 last year dec). Great deal tho, I'm super tempted but #mebroke.

Cheapest it's been was $319.99 in 2016. That was insane and unlikely to be repeated, so this is still a good price for what everyone says is a fantastic saw. I missed the December deal and I'm sick of waiting so I pulled the trigger. Thx OP!

I'm on the fence in this deal. I have a Ryobi single bevel sliding miter saw but I've never been really happy with its performance. It seemed fine at first but when I actually got into doing some projects at home I noticed that I could never get an absolutely true straight cut. No matter how many adjustments I've tried. Always seems as though the fence or blade is just slightly off true.

It's not a question of if I want it but a question of do I need this Bosch miter saw.

I have the Glide 12, very similar to the 10". I rarely use the full range of the 12" (and usually it's for things a table saw would be the appropriate tool for), so if I we're to do it again I would probably go with a 10". It's a very solid saw, second only to festool if you're using it mainly in the garage.

One thing to note is that these are the heaviest mitre saws you can get. They do the best if set up in a garage (which is what the mechanism is designed so that you can put it flush with the wall, instead of 10" off the wall), not taking to jobsites. The 10 is smaller, but basically the same weight as the 12, so you don't get much in terms of portability, but it saves you even more room in the garage.

I just got mine delivered today, and I'm at work right now, but plan on using my ridgid mobile saw stand with it.

Let me know how it goes?

I'm not sure whether to get this saw.

The Rigid one?

Or the Hitachi/Metabo one if I can find one:

or was even thinking of the Ryobi one:

I managed to get one from Canadian Tire back then, never understood why it was being marked clearance when everyone else continued to carry the model (usually over $700) 5 years later.. Great saw.

Anyone in need of 12" and willing to trade ?
I would trade my lightly used (only one project: trim/baseboards on a small house) for this 10" one.
I am after Difference in weight and size.

Cheapest ever was $175 people got when Rona or Lowes were dumping their stock. Very ymmv at the time.

I tried this out, I didn’t care for the side to side flex. I chose the dewalt 12” dw716 non-slider which is rock solid. Since then I got a Festool Kapex. I wanted to like the glide for the rear footprint in a slider but the flex I saw in the store want acceptable. You can get some good kickback with that.

You can't compare a store demo that's not been setup correct to real life scenario where you place care and make everything snug and take care of your tool.

The DeWalt is not bad.

It's a long running battle between the DeWalt and this Bosch.

They have several YouTube videos DeWalt put up trash talking the Bosch which backfired on DeWalt.
