Do you have a receipt you can share for the $60?

When I inquired about it I was told that the $998 was the new version of the tool chest and the $698 was the old one. Maybe some stores are clearing out the old one, I had no luck getting a price match regardless of receipts or pictures. Was told flat out that if another store wants to sell their product for less than the regular price, they are free to do it but my local HD wont.
The $998 one is the texture matte one. It is definitely better quality than this one, it has soft close drawers and thicker metal I believe. But at <$400 the regular glossy one is a excellent deal.

I highly doubt they would ever discount a brand new SKU from MSRP unless there was s dodgy upsell of the value or a deal with the manufacturer.

+1

I'm pissed I missed this deal. The one day I stay off RFD lol....
I've been looking for a similar sized chest for a long while, and the dross on Kijiji + dealing with all the stupid dingoes is making this task a nasty one.

Uhhhhh.... They had 4 of the $698's, I wasn't trying to get the newer one for a reduced price...

Local HD's confirmed yesterday that they're back up to regular price (even though one local store still has 8 of them).

When I went on Thursday they told me that the price was back up to $698 but I still managed to get them to agree to $304. I guess I got lucky!

There was 2 in the box in Anjou, so one left. One demo unit. These boxes are huge! Needed to talk to the manager to get a price match. I had it at 304$ plus tx.
