[Home Depot] Dewalt 20V ATOMIC 20V MAX Brushless Compact Mini Circ Saw $139

This has very favourable reviews and I've had my eye on one for a while hoping it will drop in price. It's now listed as a new lower price of $139. Note that this is a bare tool, but if you're a Dewalt person, you probably have plenty of batteries and chargers already.

F.Y.I. KMS lists it at $189.99
Amazon lists it at $199

Bought it a few months ago for installing hardwood floors and cutting the stair treads, works great and lasts all day on a 5AH battery pack. Dust collection is good when connected to a shop vac and am able to cut in the room I'm laying floor in

How does this compare to "regular" sized circ saw? Is there a lot that this can't do that?

I bought a laminate countertop from Ikea, is this saw good for cutting that or should I buy a regular circular saw for the job?

would anyone use this to cut asphalt? i already have the 4 1/2" diamond blade.
i already have 7" circular saw but this tool might be easier to use.

Yes, but buy a fine tooth blade for it

Depth of cut is what you'll miss the most, especially if you are cutting 4x4 posts or cutting 2x4s at an angle. For me, it's to supplement a regular circular saw, not replace it. Lots of reviews on YouTube if you're interested in one.
