Don't know if you guys have watched Project Farm:

In Summary:
Impact Driver = Best milwaukee m18 fuel then dewalt XR
Drill = Best milwaukee m18 fuel then dewalt XR
Other tools I've watched = Best is dewalt XR then milwaukee

So it really depends on what you use most and how much you want to spend.

I run 2 systems. Dewalt and ryobi. Depending on the price/tool I grab either. Sometimes ryobi pricing can’t be beat so nice to have that option open.

Agree with this. When i first started needing tools when i bought my first house we bought alot of ryobi stuff. Price is great normally and there decent made tools. The selection is awesome also with so many different things even dewalt doesnt have. I made the mistake and sold all my ryobi stuff because someone bought me a dewalt combo as a gift about 4 years ago and i thought time to move on to better and although i like dewalt stuff better i miss the affordability of ryobi. I want a new battery blower and weed eater for example well dewalt is like double the price. Your not getting double the price worth of quality.

There are some crazy tests of tools on Youtube. For example, Milwaukee vs. DeWalt drills literally head-to-head:

Yeah but first off the DeWalts discussed here [in this thread] are Atomics, not XRs. Secondly the PF video is great but it's also only four different models, three of which are from the top-tier brands (Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita) and the other from HF which we don't have in Canada.

More extensive tests on more models can be found here:

Most of the time m12 fuel is better than dewalt atomic. So yeah milwaukee is still better than dewalt most of the time
