[Home Depot] DEWALT 20V MAX XR Blower (Tool-Only) DCBL722B - PM Peavey Mart for $93.79 tax in

Peavy Mart has DEWALT 20V MAX XR Lithium-Ion Cordless Brushless Handheld Leaf Blower (Tool-Only)
Model # DCBL722B for $169.99

Peavy link https://bit.ly/3zLHhhh

Process is for tool only (not with charger and battery)

I PM'ed Home Depot Link to get it for $169.99 (reg $188) + 10% beat price = $17

$188 PM'ed in store to $169.99 minus -$17(10%) = $152.99

Blower is $152.99 + ON tax = $172.88 out the door price.

Now HD has the Free 3Ah special offer going on

+ FREE BATTERY-$129 VALUE
Buy one DEWALT 20V MAX XR Lithium-Ion Cordless Brushless Handheld Leaf Blower (Tool-Only) (1001447099),
Get this FREE: DEWALT 20V MAX Lithium-Ion Compact Battery Pack 3Ah (1001131796).
Limited time only. While quantities last. Free Item subject to availability in-store or online.

I was able to get a 3Ah battery as well.
Return value on battery is $69.99 + tax is $79.08

$172.88 - $79.08 (If you returned the battery) is $93.79 tax in.

I kept the battery. I can use it for other things.

I tried the blower today. Works well for cleaning up grass clippings on sidewalk and cleaning up leaves and pine cones around pool deck on concreate patio. It does eat batteries. 10 mins of use killed 1 bar on a 5Ah battery. I have an electric and gas blower but wanted to try cordless. For weekly use its perfect. In the fall when there is lots of leaves I will pull out the gas unit.

Have its predecessor dcbl720 since '16. Works great as a cordless air broom for the garage, deck, walkways & such but don't expect to it to get rid of October leaves, at least not all of them on a single battery. Works ok on light powder snow as well.

Got mine for about the same money as this except mine had a 5ah battery. Nice toy to have if one's invested in the Dewalt ecosys.

Even the C$229.00 price, which includes the 5AH battery and charger is still a very good price !
But too bad there is no free 3AH battery and charger for the C$229.00 price !
If you already had a Dewalt battery, just buy the bare tool, get the free 3AH battery & charger and then return the battery and charger to get the cost down.

I have been using this blower for several years and it still works good.
This is kind of a MUST have item !

Good deal if you can get it but the HD price match policy clearly states cannot be combined with other offers.

You should buy a lotto ticket, op.

Tough crowd. Was just trying to add humor....its fixed to make you happy (and the 2 other dislikes)

Others here have started the 20v Dewalt ecosystem and want to add more tools like me.
$188 is MSRP and a true RFD'er never pays retail. Since last fall to my knowledge this has never been on sale or in a special offer.

FYI, Its people like you that add no value, are just negative and discourage other OP's from ever posting again. I do have better things to do in my life but thought it be nice and share a deal once and awhile

Thanks OP!

This worked like a charm.

I really loved your detailed post and instructions, although I have done this exact sort of thing before that was very detailed for the newbie, great job

All I did was bring the bare tool up ask for a price beat showed the ad you linked to.

Got a price beat no problem, then I gave her the battery when she scanned in came up as 129.99 but then subtracted 129.99 promotion.

Paid

Put the blower my car walked around to returns and did a return with no receipt using my credit card and got a 69.99 + tax back.

To all the people that read these threads and see how so many posters say it won’t work - can’t be done etc. etc., I know that many things are YMMV but this always works for me.

If you’re new to RFD you have to learn to ignore many of the negative comments on the ability to get a deal or at least take them with a grain of salt.

Some people are trying to be helpful but most are just being negative.

Good luck and just do it as I did.

And OP thanks for this I have been wanting this for a long time but the price was just outrageous, I am totally adding this to my 20 V line and getting rid of my old corded blower!

One of the big tricks to this going smoothly is you getting the battery in your hand to scan once the price piece has been done - not asking for a free battery!

I went to the tool section and found the battery based on the Home Depot information and got the guy to give me one out of the cage and then walked up to the cash.

Going in and screaming for a free battery probably won’t help things go smoothly, just be smart.

Time to reset your definition of “False advertisement” and “no chance” as 4 posters below yours and above mine said it worked……so far.
