It was $594 2 weeks ago after PM with Rona at HD. If someone can get Lowes to beat it and bring it down to $560 then this is even hotter! Irrespective, $598 for 735 is a good deal.

Care to share what price you've seen a Dewalt planer on Kijiji for?
Cheapest I see is 500.

Every now and then, I see a bare 735 (without stand) on Kijiji for $400-ish, maybe even $350 on very rare occasion. The 734 can be had for less. I picked one up last year for $150, but $250-300 is more typical for that model.

These models (and the 734 in particular) have been around for a while. So age is going to be a factor in the cost. You're unlikely to be able to talk someone down to $400 on a 735 purchased a few months ago that was only used once. But if it's sitting there's no harm in trying.

I have this one at home and do like it. I got mine crazy cheap at a garage sale for $50. That being said I have not seen many used ones for under $400 when looking for one prior to finding mine.

On that note.... What's the best deal for a shelix cutter head? Busy Bee has been advertising a sale, but we're still talking $600ish
