Lowe's currently has the Dewalt DWS779 12" sliding mitre on for $499 vs. Home Depot listing it online at $549 currently.

Was able to price match through online chat to get extra 10% off, so $450.

Not sure how long the Lowe's promo is for ("Special Buy")

If you know a guy with Lowe's VIP contractor membership the same saw is 15% off so $425...only until end of month.

do note that this saw seems to not be zero clearance at the back... the slides do go back so you can't put the saw right up against the wall.... may or may not matter to you but something to keep in mind, there are models with forward rails that allow you to put the saw right against the wall...

not sure if this is the same one...but i did see a recall on DeWalt mitre saws. just double check this isn't the model.

saw it on a notice at homedepot

FWIW, the one I picked up had a green dot on the box signalling it's all clear per the notice. The recall was issued back in August 2022 so I'm assuming by now HD has checked their stock and cleared/removed any problems.
