Unless these reviews are more than a year old he's got a point.
Chinese grills use junk for parts and rust out within a year or 2.
It's better to buy a "real" grill in this case instead of spending $100/year on a disposable one.

A lot of the big box stores have figured out how to keep their customers - just like the electronics companies that sell cheap printers and make money selling the ink - the big box stores sell Chinese junk BBQ's with the lure of low price and are guaranteed repeat customers looking to replace burners and heat plates every other year - keeps 'em coming back.

If you add up the price of the BBQ(s) and replacing all the parts that rot out over 10 years of ownership - you could have bought a decent Weber/Broil King/Napoleon and had the enjoyment of using it.

Drive down the street in suburbia and count the number of the Chinese POS BBQ's on the curb on garbage day.
