On Home Depot website, Charcoal only, cheapest at Amazon according to Keepa was $39.99 (currently at $44.99)

Good deal, These things seem to work better than the nest mini at this point but I prefer the hockey puck.

Strange that Home Depot is innovating in this area, on price.

Hopefully in the future, the Echo Dot will write my biography based on all the personal conversations it's scraped over the years.

Honestly if all these data tracking companies just made *giving users the data* a priority, I would probably let them do it.

Airmiles: they track all individual purchases regardless of payment method. Yes please: give me all that data so I can track my purchases
Echo / Google home: Not super comfortable with them having personal conversations, but if I can get the data about who was visiting and when, and a nice montage of stories for a biography? I’d definitely think about it. Same with the phone apps.

I was talking to wife about vacationing at dinner. Phone screen locked, all apps killed.

After dinner I open up youtube there are vacation commercials.
