Apparently more Ego products are showing up on Amazon in the US.
This might not just be a Lowes/Rona thing, but Ego's desire to be more available.

It's all speculation , but some think it's more a Home Depot thing. The speculation is that they're more interested in selling other outdoor brands, so they kicked Ego to the curb. Ego subsequently signed an exclusivity agreement with Lowes.Str8Grumpz wrote: ↑ Apparently more Ego products are showing up on Amazon in the US.

Nothing exclusive with Lowes. There are E-commerce retailers and local shops that sell the brand. I think HD dropped EGO when they lost exclusivity.

Picked up the backpack blower for $179+taxes at my local store..Dynatos wrote: ↑Update on Bank St. in Ottawa.
I went at lunch hoping to snag a string trimmer + battery. They were sold out.
They still had 3 tool-only string trimmers @ $158 (regular $208) and a single 2.5AH battery at $148 (regular $198), but I need a battery so the overall price wasn't worth it.
Looked like 1 SP mower left, and quite a few tool-only chainsaws and leaf blowers.
Edit: I also spoke with a CSR. What's on the floor is all they have. There were floor model mowers and string trimmers as well, but not marked for sale. She said markdowns are store-only right now; they aren't dictated by corporate.

No Rona either...dunno what they will do with the floor space in the mall where both Target and Lowe's have pulled out of. Workmen were in there a few weeks back clearing out the debris. But it's now very empty...penguin1234 wrote: ↑ Rona will carry them as well. Not sure if you have rona in your area

Are the snow blowers worth it at $798?

I assume you are talking about the sale price of the SNT2102 model snowblower.Masterden2016 wrote: ↑ Are the snow blowers worth it at $798?
This is a fairly light-duty single-stage machine with a rubber auger, that does well with snow, but not so much with tight packed drifts. Though this one is probably better for those with concrete or interlock driveways.
Not a bad deal if you are OK with this older generation product.
I personally will wait for the single-stage Gen2 machine (bare tool, metal auger) to come out, since I already have the batteries and want the ability to deal with tight packed drifts.

I spoke to a manager at HD, she Home Depot demanded more profit and Ego said to stick it.Dynatos wrote: ↑ It's all speculation , but some think it's more a Home Depot thing.
