[Home Depot] Fiskars 7.9-12 Foot Extendable Tree Pruning Stik (9240) $62.99

Not sure how many people can make use of this, but in case you need one of these super long pruning sticks. Price match at home depot to get this down to $62.99 plus tax.

Looks like the cashier doesn't know PM policy...online only retailers should just be a price match...not match and beat by 10% so you got lucky

This could be adapted to be used with a brush/squeegee for window washing!

Signing up for newsletter at Lowes gets you a $10 off $50 coupon which saves you even more money than a PM at Home Depot.

My dad lent me his one of these a few years ago, so much better and easier to use than the old style rope ones I have. It is hard for me to justify getting one as I have three of the old school ones for some reason, but its tempting.

Half the negative reviews refer to a cord which this model does not have.... take those HD reviews with a grain of salt as they seem to be co-mingled with an older model from 3 years ago....

Don't be fooled by statements such as "Rope-free design gives you two-handed control and eliminates snags and tangles" and "Power-Stroke chain-drive gearing provides maximum cutting power". It's still actuated by a strap so suffers the similar issues to the rope driven models and the capacity is very limited. I you're trimming anything but the smallest offshoots skip the middle man and get a pole saw for the same price https://www.amazon.ca/Sun-Joe-SWJ800E-T ... den&sr=1-7

I have had one of these for a few years, and is a lifesaver for any home owner with trees/vines close by. use it a few times a month, and the mechanism is pretty strong for vines and small branches. Ive used for branches (say finger size) fairly easily. For the price, its a no brainer if the need is there.

I didn't have any issues with matching to Lowes. I did get the 10% beat but it might be YMMV because it is listed as "clearance" at Lowes.ca
