You go back in and return the other item.
Some stores will not allow. Some will.

Great deal on the 7 1/4 circular saw. Too bad I picked up the Milwaukee one during their sale.

Was looking forward to some sanders this promo too.

So how this works is, if I buy the kit in store, I can then turn right around and go right back in to client services and return the battery portion for a partial return?

I know in the previous post someone mentioned to do an online pick up order and ask to charge a different credit card (return and repurchase) on the spot. Do we know if this works for partial return?

Yes, I had that work in the past and it worked. Make sure you get someone else to do the return or else it look fishy.

I have an old gen4 set of Ridgid tools ("brushed").

Will my old batteries work with these new brushless tools? I'm eyeing the angle grinder.

Thanks. TBh it's overkill for me but, as of now, I have the choice of having a good tool for 170$, a Ryobi for a bit less or wait for a better deal. Buy now think later.

I must admit I'm also tempted by either the Multi-Material Saw, JobMax Multi-Tool or Reciprocating Saw. Of the 3, what you folks recommand the most for future casual light use?

The circular saw is honestly outstanding. While it does has heft, as the other user noted, I was very surprised at how light it actually is without batteries. Even with a 4ah, it's still lighter than my old skil saw.

If you ever have to do any sort of demolition, the reciprocating saw will make your life incredibly easy. Need to read down a deck? No problem. Cut down small trees? Easy. Buzz through some firewood? Why not? I get a surprising amount of use out of mine. And, if you get into making stuff with pallet Wood, that tool will save you hours of hard work.

If you see yourself doing lots of renno, the multi tool is worth considering. I love cutting drywall with them, and might pick one up just for that. I've seen a cutter that's perfectly sized to cut out single gang recepticals in one shot.

Go with the multi-tool. It's so versatile and I use it all the time.
