I've had such a bad experience with their warranty. I end up having to pay to get my tool fixed under warranty

How do you guys go around that?

Example. M18 fuel drill. The chuck broke. I had to pay $50 to get it back. Even though it under warranty
After the same experience I had for warranty and spare parts at work with Milwaukee I went with Dewalt for my personal tools since their service center in near by in Mississauga. The last time I went was to service a black and decker hand vacuum and they just ended up replacing it with a new one. I told them I had some bits and socket heads that were stripped and they said to bring them in and they’ll replace them too. So far none of my tools have had any issues but I’m not too worried about getting good service should that happen. I feel like having that in person option makes the whole process better.

dude i’m so over milwaukee.

my entire platform is m12fuel/ m18 fuel.

so far i’ve had the hydraulic impact stop backing out fasteners, the 6 1/2 fuel circular saw motor went, the chuck on both my fuel sawzall and my m18 drill are no good.

all in a span of 3 years.

i’m over paying a premium for tools that suck. i’m slowly switching everything over to dewalt.

they do make some great products - the 18g brad nailer and the m12 pin are fantastic. the rest of it is overpriced and imo garbage

I've had the complete opposite experience with their warranty. I'm bring my stuff to the Factory repair center near 407/dufferin in the GTA and they are pretty much always fixed or replaced for free. I've even had them replace battery packs on the spot, no questions asked

So lucky!

I goto Burnaby BC repair center. When I tell them The issue with the tool. They go thru their book and say. The cost is up to $____ to fix. Thing is. If it under warranty. Why do I have to pay!

I tell them. Can you call me to see if I wanna fix it or not. They said they don't do calls.

Their warranty hasn't been the best for me twice. If once more. I'm selling my Red for Yellow

The real value comes from being able to return part of the combo and paying only the prorated price.

So for example the the batteries ($400) and impact wrench ($250) you paid $400 for both. The batteries represent ~62% of the price and the tool the other ~38%. So return the batteries and get back $246 and end up paying $154 for the tool.

If it's like last year then this all has to be done in store.
