Listed at 1200W. How does this compare to some of the cheaper KA ones?

What's the difference between this and the 350 dollar kitchenaid?

I'd expect the KA ones to be built way better. At $76, there has to be a lot of corners cut.

You can also easily get KA parts/repairs, as well as a whole lot of accessories (not all are worthwhile, but a fair number are).
No regrets buying our KA mixer.

If you're looking for a deal on a stand mixer, buy a used KA.

Saw this at local HD (Oakville). I was instantly drawn in by the price, then repulsed by the suction cups that they use to make up for the lack of heftiness.

Now, I'm not baker, so I can't say whether there will be difference. In sure a quick google search can find out, but the lightness of the machine was off-putting.

Speaking as someone who started with a $80 Bodum mixer, don't buy cheap plastic off brand mixers. Buy the biggest/heaviest you think you'll need, you'll be happier and save money in the long run.

This mixer was 69.99 at giant Tiger last year . (I think it's the same one) I have it and it works very well. It's plastic body and not cast like the KitchenAid one but it mixes very well and I have no complaints at all for the price I paid. had 3 attachments for mixing and still running strong.

I got this more than a year ago from The Source ( I had some gift coupons). Has been working fine since one year for making dough everyday. Also, occasionally I use it for making butter from heavy cream. Never had any problem due to light weight. It stays in place, doesn't wobble. However at the end of dough making, the machine head shakes a bit, I can not say build quality is great.

But for the price, it is above average for normal work. I see it as a good starter stand mixer, if you want to see how much you will use a stand mixer, you can start with this one instead of getting stuck with a $350 investment. After few years you can always upgrade to better option. Size is also pretty compact, does not occupy much space in kitchen.

This is now $39.88.
It's almost a no-brainer now. Could be a good backup if you already have a mixer.

Makes It Look Like Net is $5

PLUS Buying a No Name Hunk of Metal
that almost costs a C note is probably one
of the STUPIDEST things you can do

/If you can't afford a decent new one
better to look for an older quality brand at a Second Hand Store
like Sally Ann
