I'm 95% sure the one at Costco was the same but black. Same price.

Is the 26lb rating the amount it makes in ice at capacity?

If you can think of a better way to get ice, I'd like to hear it.

Saw this at the Thorncliffe Costco last week.

I've had one for about a year. It does fill up rather quickly (within about 3 hours) but it does make an okay sized bucket. It is soooo much faster than the built in ice machine for my fridge. I basically make 4-5 buckets at a time and stick in my freezer storage. This quickly paid for itself when not buying bags of ice (although I haven't factored the electricity use, which must be pretty high for something like this).

This model is basically rebranded by everybody. The last one I recall was an RCA. I usually see these at shoppers for around 80 buck when it goes on sale.

I had one from Costco but the ice is not freezing cold. It's watery ice. I returned it.

The one I purchased on Amazon with similar style for $150 produced ice cold ice.

I found these at Superstore (Edmonton, James Mowatt Trail) for $49.94. I'm not looking to buy one but, posting for anyone who is. There were two at the store this afternoon.

If you need quick ice, this is not the answer. I let it run for about an hour for it to make nice ice cubes. The first 3-5 batches are a little watery. I believe it helps if you put in ice cold water too.
